Hi Folks,

I'm in a bit of a quandry, i need to get my hande on a few Yurts.

Does anyone out there know of a good manufacturer of a 28mm Mongol Yurt?

If so. please let me know as thus far I've found nothing .

Thanks,

Darrell, I was going to tell you about the Grand Manner yurts but I see you have found them.

I have a couple for my Back of Beyond armies which you are welcome to borrow if you want and Colin also has a few. I can bring them into the club on Thursday if you want.

Cheers
Dave

Dave,

Answer as on SESWC forum :) .

Thanks for the kind offer Dave, but I'm going to have to turn you down. I want the Yurts for modelling purposes for a Mongol army in which I'intend to include units of Light Infantry. The Yurts are to protect one flank of said infantry. Basically my plan is to (hopefully) buy or convert some models into Mongol civilians (if such a thing existed) and have them modelled onto bases protecting the Yurts.

Offer appreciated though :) .

Cheers,

Darrell.

Darrell, Old Glory do some Hun civilians which could be easily converted. There are lots of Mongol ranges out there (TAG, Steve Barber, Old Glory, Ebob, Curteys ) although I've yet to find one range I really like. What figures are you using ?

I started a Mongol project (well I bought a load of TAG figures) after reading the Ghengis Khan novels but haven't got this off the ground yet.
I'm intertsted in your progress.
