Hello David, :D

I coming back to a remark passed by you regarding the primary undercoating of figures. I was ranting on about Leather, and yellow from the Army painter, and the suggestion of a certain Auto Parts store came to mention.
For Chestnut coloured horses, I am now experimenting with "Red Primer" and using strong and dark tone directly on top of this. Do you have any suggestions as to shades (valehjo, GW or any other manufacturers) suitable for applying a highlight :?:

I can achieve a nice effect in oils, but time and mass production is now more the order of the day.

Bob,
Sorry, would love to help but I need to see the result after the dip before I could suggest a highlight.
