many people may say there are things not right with my rules!!!!
But to be serious for a second and answer your question. I am a great fan of the TYW as a wargaming period so I don't mind the rules being used for them at all.
I do think however that if I was to extend the scope for TYW I would want to write some very period specific amendments around the following areas:
1. Use of Lances by certain cavalry types such as Poles
2. Use of Fully armoured Kurassier by the Imperialists
3. Larger Pike formations such as the Tercio
4. Brigade formations such as those used by the Swedes
5. Forlorn Hope type formations
Having re examined these particular aspects then I might be very happy to call the rules 1610-1715
There is nothing to stop someone producing a TYW `house amendment document'. I'd post it in the Rules download section if anyone felt inclined to invest the time!
