Unfortunately I am abroad right now so cannot upload images otherwise I would have shared the latest additions to the range.
I have had a peak today at 4 absolutely superbly animated Jacobite cavalry which will jump up the release list just becauase I like them so much!
Imagine the 1960's French kids programme about the TYW called the flashing blade.... these blokes are a 1690's version of the Chevalier de Recci and no mistake. Can't wait to share. Back Friday. Maybe pix then or saturday!

I loved "The Flashing Blade"! Repeats, obviously. I still remember the theme tune too, can't wait to see these.

They're pretty! What makes them distinctly Jacobite (as opposed to useable by other nations)?

They can be used for any nation but the brief was to create cavalry:
> That were distinctly different from all other ranges available in terms of animation
> Who caught the 'flair' of the wild Jacobite charges and on which Jacobite fighting reputation in Ireland is largely built
>Whose equipment was not regulation. who were missing bits and pieces, whose coats were open and flowing, whose hair was longer and wilder, who were shouting and cheering. Clibinarium has caught all of that perfectly in these four sculpts.
They could be used for any nation - the Jacobite 'tag' was great for sculpting direction and inspiring for me to think about
hope this explains

Yes, quite definitely.
Far from the rigid cavalry figures we have too often seen over the years.
2012's wargames budget is going to be a
demanding proposition...
Cheers,

They look fantastic and will certainly be involved in some " all or nothing " charges I imagine.

Hmmm. Their sleeves are a little long for the 1670's but they might still be pressed into service for the Dutch war or the war against the Turks. Consider me interested

This cavalry is coming at the right time as several of us are now building for the Irish campaigns! The action of these figures is excellent and I look forward to ordering and painting these!
