Any news would be appreciated. I plan to order a few more battalions in a couple of weeks, but would like to buy some of the "additional" infantry pack to add variety. If it's going to be a while, I will go ahead and order, but I would hate to do so and then have the second wave come out a couple of day later! :)

Wave 2 is likely to be about 8 weeks away. Masters are done but production moulds need to be made etc..

Hope this is helpful

Re: 2nd wave UPDATE

Post by barr7430 » Tue Oct 04, 2011 6:32 pm

Second sales to first time customers have been very encouraging. Encouraging enough for me to commission the 2nd wave production moulds (yesterday). This means that we should have a quantity of new packs available for CRISIS ANTWERP 4TH NOVEMBER. We will probably take preorders on the 2nd Wave in late October once we've had a chance to check the first production casts.

WAVES 2 & 3 will have at least 16 packs but possibly 20. The list currently is as follows:

1.Gun of Position + 6 crew
2.Field gun + 4 crew
3.Light gun +2 crew
4.Galloper gun + 2 crew
5.Limber set
6.Tumbril cart set
7.Wagon set
8.Grenadier storming party
9.Senior Commanders (2 mounted officers)
10.Staff Group (1 mounted & 2 dismounted officers)
11.Mixed codes 1 (poses that will compliment WLOA1-WLOA9)
12.Mixed codes 2 (poses that will compliment WLOA1-WLOA9)
13.Dismounted Dragoons
14.Casualties
15.Horse troopers
16.Horse Command

Hope this is good news for you!

Not for my resolution not to dive into the painting competition!

I know you have posted comparisons with other manufacturers, but how well do Warfate mix with Imperialist?
With Gen'l Custer Down in Mexico: Yes, one of the goals is to see how many times one can get him killed.

It is, but not necessary for my budget & spare time as I have just ordered some more for the Militia unit, direct as I have rather dented the trial stock at Spirit, not to mention some complimentary bits form other peoples ranges including the Jesuit priest figure which the kind folks here found for me. I have by the way more or less finished blocking in the first, but the Megalomania has begun again and I will be buying a pack of marching from Spirit in the morning, which I will be using to paint example figures for my niece to copy onto the Christmas present I am after.

I am already planing modifications to Sharp Practice to run a large multi player skirmish next year at Beer & Pretzels in Burton, I will keep people informed of what comes of that.

Here is an update of what should be available at Antwerp and on the web about the same time:

Gun of Position + 6 crew
Field gun + 4 crew
Limber set
Grenadier storming party
Senior Commanders (2 mounted officers)
Staff Group (1 mounted & 2 dismounted officers)
Mixed Foot 1 (poses that will compliment WLOA1-WLOA9)
Mixed Foot 2 (poses that will compliment WLOA1-WLOA9)
Dismounted Dragoons
Casualties

More news and pix soon

Cheers

Pictures would be nice as the
Mixed Foot 1 (poses that will compliment WLOA1-WLOA9)
Mixed Foot 2 (poses that will compliment WLOA1-WLOA9)

have particularly peaked my interest especially as given the numbers of figures I will need my Sharp Practice variant & my insane craving for variety of pose where possible.

The other thing I would suggest is a range of metal heads and arms which would suit the Wargames factory plastics as they are in need of it & I dont see why you should not benefit from their range. Victrix after all do metal heads for their range, Perry & warlord all manner of metal bits for their plastics as well.

Update:

I am currently away from home until after Antwerp and will actually take delivery of the the new production codes at the show!

Our casters have worked hard to get 3 new codes into production for the show so :

Dismounted Dragoons
Grenadier Storming Party
Casualties

will all be available for the first time in Belgium on Saturday. They will be available through the website by a week today (next Tuesday) when we get back.

The other planned codes will follow very soon afterwards(we were beaten by the clock)

We will also have painted samples of Cavalry, General Officers, Staff, Limbers on the site over the next 2 weeks. Master castings are now done so its down to me, time and the brush to keep you updated!
