Hi Edward,

Why you dont want Prince Eugene of Savoy too? Without him the "Duke" is not complete

Best Wishes,

Hello Günter

I'm thinking along the lines of the Nine Years War in Ireland and Flanders when Marlborough was a earl and not yet famous as the Duke of Marlborough.

For the later WSS I agree with you - Marlborough and Eugene.

cheers

The Jacobite Horse are already on the stocks... and if the first personalities sell as well as the guns have then your wish list may well come true Edward!

As long as we are wishing, I'd like to see musketeers in proper French kit.
Thanks.

I'd like to see more officers on foot. I'm fine with recycling ensigns and sergeants, and the variations among the rank and file are fantastic, but the hat-waving, sword-wielding men of privilege are often the focal point of a unit. There is only one advancing and one standing. I've managed a conversion of one of the ensigns and I have a couple more ideas, but it would be nice to have another command pack or two...

How about accessories

-Pikes
-Flag Poles
-Defensive Works
-Half Pikes and Halberts for Officers and Sgts
etc,

As my wife says about fashion, its all about the accessories.

Looking at the picture of the French assualt during the Walcourt re-fight game there are two types of pikes: tall thick ones in most of the battalions but one battalion has shorter slimmer pikes. I think the shorter slimmer ones look better and more historical.

I know that if I was a gentleman of the pike when the Sgt wasn't looking I would be cutting a couple of feet off that bad boy to maker it easier to carry. Besides they got that new bayonet thing being passed out to the musketeers

Barry,

For cassocks, look at the article "Danish Grenadier Cap and Cassock" near the bottom of this link:

Also, see the illustration of the Livgarde on page 51 of the Osprey Boyne book.
