WARFARE IN THE UNITED STATES

Post by barr7430 » Thu Apr 04, 2013 3:58 pm

I am delighted to announce that Le Roi Soliel Miniatures based out of Texas will be the official stockist and agent for Warfare Miniatures in the United States. Bob Miller is a long time enthusiast for the period and a genuine lover of all things 17th century and military. Bob is a fine chap and known to attendees of the League of Augsburg Weekender games at Derby.

Le Roi Soliel will carry all Warfare codes and stock Beneath the Lily Banners. Bob will carry battalion packs as sold here on the site. I believe he intends to trade at certain US conventions going forward.

Le Roi Soliel will also carry Quindia Studios flags of the period in the 50 and 40mm sizes.

Bob should be up and running very shortly. I wish him every success and will support his glorious endeavour in every way possible.

Good Luck Le Roi Soliel!

Gentlemen;

Le Roi Soleil is experiencing a little difficulty getting the shopping portion its site going. Don't let that slow you down if you need anything. Just pm me and we can get the order packed and ready. The site itself shoud be running by week's end. Codes are the same as are shown on the LoA site.

We currently stock all the LoA rules, flags, figures and markers and will be happy to special order your Napoleonic needs.

We look forward to serving the North American enthusiasts and anyone else who believes that we can assist them.

Thank you,

WOW! Did I miss the boat on this one. I have to look over the catalog again and get my order together. I wanted to take advantage of the last month Warfare special, but the shipping was getting too out of control.

Just went to the site, have a few questions; shipping costs, any specials and prices?

Thanks again.

Hello Gentlemen;

After many trials and tribulations, the site is finally up and running at leroisoleilminiatures.com. As a new enterprise, we are still feeling our way so any feedback is greatly appreciated. Meanwhile, we are striving to bring you Warfare miniatures at affordable prices and will from time to time run specials as postage, exchange rates and other factors permit.

If there is anything that we can do to assist you as you build your armies, please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know.

Greg, in reading, thanks for your input.

Best regards and happy gaming to all,

Bob Miller

That is great, Bob!

I have been waiting to post the announcement on my blog for when the shop was active.

Thanks for the link too, but might I trouble you to change the link's destination to my blog at http://quindiastudios.blogspot.com

The other site hasn't been updated in years. I leave it up because the ECW and Warhammer 40k galleries still prove to be a popular destination... My plan is eventually to post a new site with the blog incorporated in the design, but it will be a miracle if I ever find the time!

You are also welcome to use any of the photos from the 1690 tab of my blog for the gallery or any other area of your site - all of the models are Warfare Miniatures.

Again, thanks for the link - I will promote your site on the blog whenever there is news!

Thanks Clarence;

I will update the link. I will also make use of your generous offer of photos. When one of the finest miniature painters in the U.S. makes such an offer, you don't pass it up.

Thanks again.

All,
Just placed an order with Bob over at Le Roi Soleil site. I'm pretty excited about getting my hands on the infamous Warfare figures.

All,
Well I finally got my first wave of Warfare Minis, and I must say, I'm very impressed. I mostly got cavalry, and really enjoy the arm option.

Bob, over at Le Roi Soleil worked with me on getting my first order in. What a great guy...thanks again Bob!

Well big decision here, should I base for Donnybrook or based for my Scanian Wars? We'll see.

I'm just wrapping up on painting more Polish cavalry; Tartars, Pancerni and of course more Winged Hussars.

Hello Greg;

Thanks for the compliment. Can I suggest that you base for Donneybrook but use thin trays to hold the Donnybrook bases when you game the Scanian War? I am planning to do this in order to do some actions with "Snapphaner" guerillas in the war. It's good to see someone else here in the States interested in this area.

Thanks again.

Bob,
That's a thought. I've made movement trays as well as something similar for other gaming periods. I have to look at that. I base my BLB armies in four infantry and two cavalry to a base. The size of bases I use are 1.5 X 1.5. That can be a bit challenging to slotted bases. Will have to make a proto-type and see how that works.
