Now Dave, if only you;d been at Gunter's lecture you'd know that the man is THE MAN when it comes to Saxons! He no speak with forked tongue, so your gunners can be infantry gun servers but not Gunners!!!

Thank You for the kind, defensive words Barry

Dave, from my point of view, Dr. S. Summerfield did not realy read or hear on what Saxon official sources had to offer as I consulted the same office in Saxony as he did and got different informations. Besides of an awefull bad proofreading.

I willing to share any knowledge I have on the Saxon matter.
Ask and I try to help as good as possible, with sources, pictures and informations. Take a look at the tread of my saxon army and you will find a pic how the Saxon Foot Artillerycrew of the Artillery Regiment looked like.

All the Best

I wasn't doubting Gunter for a single minute, it was having to repaint the figures that was bothering me. :(
Cheers

Did you use the new artillery damage rule and BUA rules during the weekend games and if so, did they work OK?
Cheers

I have this urge to go out and buy some nice figures for a new army, they have a love of pretty girls and ice cream.
Any sujestions on which figures would be best?

Dear Tally Keef,

do you mean to represent the Italians?

If so, Perry or Victrix plastics would be a low cost entry into the market. The Victrix stuff is more 'period specific' for the Italians with the longer coat style but the Perry or Victrix greatcoated stuff is quicker to paint!

Dear Barry, Bob and Adrian,

The Derby Event has led to a aftermath decission which has an impact on my future Wargaming.

I have made the decission to end all Wargaming ambitions in Austria
and ship over my Saxon Army to England, back home so to speak  .
I had some talk with my friend Steve (Barber) and he offered my Army Sanctuary. He lives in Leighton Buzzard, about 120 km SE from Derby and even less from London.
Currently I have to find out how to get my 2 brigades over there, one by one if I must.

Any suggestions?
From FedEx Bob?

Best Wishes
Günter

Dave my opinion on the rule changes were that they worked perfectly. I only need to make a tweak regarding battery refitting for batteries which have lost limbers

Hi Barry
Yes Italian, I got such a buzz from useing those fine fellows 8) and I feel obliged to paint a brigade of them with a battalion gun of course.
I have done a bit of searching on the internet and found a good site with the uniform details, just was not sure which figures to use, Perry figures are a bit late for Italians I thought :?:
cheers

In greatcoats... not, because you won;t see the short tailed jackets. Otherwise... Victrix or Elite I would say... whatever you do I am sure they will look splendid!
