I hope you're not coming for the sunny weather at that time of year? but you will certainly find lots of historical sites to visit.
Cheers
Dave
Dave,

You know, the two times I have been in Derby now I had very nice weather conditions, each time better then they were in Austria  . Even when the weather get worst the days I meet my friends in Derby will cheer me up. So one can say that I look indeed for the bright side of my life  :D

Cheers,
Günter

Gentlemen,

A question has occured.
Does anyone of the Gentlemen who participates in the March Weekender come from the area of Birmingham and may have a chance to pick me up from the Airport?

I can of course travel by train up to Derby but it would certainly be easier we could do a 'car sharing program'.

The reason for my question is that Bob isn't sure if he can do it this time.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Barry,

That would be great!
Btw., You drive still the same car? But you dont have to take that lot of stuff with you like last time, do you? :D Because in that case I would prefer a seat on the roof of your car

Thanks!
Waiting for details

Dear Friends,

Now I'm even more convinced that my October's travel with my car would be better than taking a plane and putting those into trouble who thought to pick me up from BLX.
I just studied the flights available from Vienna to East Midlands and back and I was quite  :!:
The prices range from GBP 300 to 700  and the travel times ranges from 5 to 13h :!:

So driving up there wont be much cheaper but it will provide me with much more flexibility when to arrive and when to depart  :D

Sorry for the pondering - it has to be done!

Vienna to Heathrow(direct on British Airways) plus a rental car(Ford focus) is < £280 according to expedia. A lot less tiring than driving all the way! (~ 2.5 hour drive)

Just throwing other options out there.
