There should not be any buttons on the cuff. Personally I have always imagined the cuffs as an organic part of the coat, simply folded up to show the lining (but I may be wrong). The fashion of having small but practical cuffs are distinctively Swedish and they were later adopted by other armies and referred to as "Swedish cuffs"
The following picture are from Erik Bellander's book about Swedish uniforms from 1973 ("Dräkt och uniform") and show various model uniforms both from the front and the back. The information is however somewhat dated since the older uniform probably never existed and you could argue wether there really were a m/1706 and m/1756. Because the first is older than 1706 and it slowly evolved into m/1756 (no actual uniform changes occurred that year). I also do not know why the back of the m/1706 is illustrated without turnbacks.

Ouch! There's a hook in my mouth.
No use fighting it, so I'M IN!
So someone tell me what I need to do to commit some funds to this project.
