Great Northern War Compendium

I got my copy and I think that it is the best introduction to the GNW in English, without question. It is two "coffee table" sized volume with over 600 pages in full color, with many hundreds of pictures and maps. Of course there are articles on the well-known battles, but also on many obscure ones. There are articles on every army, including Cossacks, Turks and Poles. Lots of articles on sieges, fortifications, personalities and even the plague!

The price is rather hefty at $125, but one will never get this much information in one place, in English, again. Highly recommended.
