Skirmish gaming GNW & Scania War in 54mm

Conflict between the Swedes and their various neighbours between 1670s and 1721. Including topics on Danes, Saxons, Saxon-Polish, Russians and anyone else the boys in blue were mixing it with!

Skirmish gaming GNW & Scania War in 54mm

I'm currently working on 54mm figures for skirmish gaming GNW, Scania War and early colonial America. Here's a link to view some pictures:

All the figures are modified from the 54mm Tehnolog "Peter the Great" set. The 3 mounted Russian dragoons were modified from the 3 musketeer figures in the 5 figure set. I used 54mm Airfix horses for the mounts.

Not sure which rules I' m going to use yet, maybe Donnybrook or perhaps Song of Drums & Shakos. For the GNW I'm thinking one of the game suggestions from Osprey's Poltava book would make a great setup for a skirmish game. After the battle of Poltava Swedish soldiers are retreating towards the baggage train and beyond, Russian Dragons, mounted Russian infantry and Cossacks pop up along the board edges trying to kill or capture the retreating Swedish survivors.
