Post by yar68 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 10:49 pm

My group TGWNN, played a fictional Napoleonic game on Saturday, I've written up a battle report on my blog, it's a bit long but take a look, comments welcome.

Ray,

great looking game, nice report and you all looked like you had lots of fun. You also asked for comments.. at the risk of sounding like a commercial..

with a game of that size, if you'd used R2E for 6 hours you'd have gotten through a heck of a lot more than 4 moves... a safe estimate would be 7-9.
Don't know if you've tried them yet.

What, Barry, promoting your game on your website? Reminds me of the time I went to Motorola's site and they tried to sell me a phone.

Do you have recomeded 15mm ranges?
Or is this something one should think out them self,

I'm doing 28mm RtE, and 15mm GdB

But as I'm gonna use my 28mm RtE forces for the od GdB game, I thought I might try the od RtE game with my 15mm,

But while GdB has 28mm ranges in their rules RtE has none, and there realy is no need as rules are made with 28mm in mind, I'm just curious if anybody has guess or thought of 15mm ranges for the rules.

Someone has already worked out the 15mm ranges etc.. I am sure they are on the Forum somewhere

Alternatively do you want them Barry for the site here as a guide to other 15mm players
BTW - I say we, but it was Captain Chook that did the hard work and worked them out - i'm just the painter!

Battle of Zakharina

Post by yar68 » Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:46 pm

Glad you all like the battle report. Postie who owns all the figures was very pleased you thought the figures were 28's Barry.
I had an email the other day, from David Watkins, he wants to print the report in his magazine, " First Empire", see link below.
It took him a long time to get me to agree to his demands and let the report be published in his shiney magazine....well ok, it was about least 6 seconds!
