For the French you want the Robert Hall books. They are available on CD. One volume each for the infantry, cavalry, and dragoons.

I don't know what to recommend for the Brits.

Yes, highly recommend the Robert Hall CD's!!!

For other countries, I bought a few other resources from OMM; THE ARMIES AND UNIFORMS OF MARLBOROUGH'S WARS Vol 1 & 2, WARGAMERS INTRODUCTION TO THE AGE OF MARLBOROUGH booklet, MARLBURIAN ARMIES, 1701-1721, ARMY OF JAMES II, THE LAST SCOTS ARMY 1661-1714, ARMIES AND UNIFORMS OF THE MONMOUTH REBELLION and of course you can also look at the OSPREY series; The British Army 1660–1704 and Marlborough's Army (may be out of print).

Hope these help...good luck!!!

One of the things that is holding up BLB2 is our 'uniform guide' This will take the form of actual models painted for each regiment with a little data attached. It will be spread throughout the book. The plan is to have seperate pages for: Dutch, English, Scots, Danes, Brandenburg,Jacobite Irish and of course French! The models will be painted by: Myself, David Imrie, Clarence, Brian Phillips,Darrell Hindley.

Barry,

That is a great idea and I'm glad that it is included.

Gents

As ever thanks very much for your help and sounds like a good idea for BLB2, which am looking forward to seeing.

Thanks again

Ray,

My camera is already negotiating overtime rates. I really look forward to seeing these "in the flesh" so to speak.

See you next Friday,

Jim

PS: That kneeling front rank looks as if it's doing the Can-Can!
