Nylands och Tavastehus läns kavalleriregemente
Erected in 1632 as Uusimaa and Häme County Cavalry Regiment (1690s TENEMENT). 1721 Uusimaa and Häme Dragoon Regiment.
The regiment descended from Uusimaa riders, ranking 1618th Cavalry Regiment was the first director Lennart Stålhandske. The regiment reorganized in 1721 to dragoon regiment, Häme and Uusimaa Dragoon Regiment.
The regiment was sent in spring 1700 to Livonia and there came to be part of Wellingk department. From 1702 includes the regiment in the main army, except for the two companies. During 1705-06 they are part of Rehnskiölds department.
After the battle of Poltava, 28 June 1709 was with the regiment at the surrender of Perovolotjna few days later.
The regiment had to be rebuilt after Poltava by doubling as a tribe and belonged to the then army in Finland.
The regiment participated in the Norwegian campaign in 1718 where they were part of General Armfeldt title on 7500, as in August 1718 went into Norway over Jamtland.
In 1791 was reorganized many cavalry regiments in the Swedish cavalry to infantry. This also affected Uusimaa and Häme Cavalry regiment when the regiment was divided and reorganized into light infantry. The northern battalion was incorporated into Tavstehus county infantry regiment that this third regiment or battalion. The southern battalion (Livbataljonen) was incorporated into the Uusimaa infantry regiment.
As early as 1792 återuppsattes two squadrons of the regiment, namely Major or Squadron Porvoo and Helsinki squadron. Their were then related to the Karelian Dragoon Corps and became a 1803 re-mounted as well as the other two squads in the battalion they were in.
These four squadrons formed late with Kymmene Farm squadron from the Karelian Dragoon Corps of the Uusimaa Brigade associated Uusimaa dragonkår.
Uusimaa and Häme dragonkår battalion took part in the campaign in 1808 and disbanded after the capitulation of the Kalix 1809th
Regiment wolf ring was on the island at its fall.
Southern battalion comprised Livkskvadronen, Helsinki, Raseborg and Major Squadron.
Northern Battalion covered the top lieutenant, Lower Hållola, Upper Hållola and Säxmäki squadron.
The regiment was TENEMENT with 1000 numbers, 8 squadrons in Uusimaa and Häme province.
In the changing county subdivision in Finland in 1775 changed the area significantly. First, were added to Satakunta District from Pori County but was separated Upper Hollola district (156 number) of Kymi Province.
Uniforms: The Finnish cavalry unit had uniforms (1689/90) gray uniforms with feed and spread of landscape color.
