Danish Grenadierkorp

Hi Gents

After a long time away from this period, ( breeding Alpacas) I have decided to pick up my brushes again and complete my WSS project.

Having now chosen to increase my infantry units sizing from 12 to 16 figures, I have painted firstly a brand new unit namely the Danish grenadier korpset.

Now here is my dilemma, I only originally had one colour per unit, which now looks daft, but with 12 figures looked ok. Not now though.

So my enquiry is firstly what did the regiments colours look like, as I would like to show perhaps the national colour if it existed and the regimental colour. But I don't have ant images for these.

I own both the books by Lars Hoglund on the GNW and Scanian Wars, but have had not noticed any pictorial reference to them.

Does anyone know where I can get 40mm x 40mm flags for this unit? Or should I just cheet and make up my own?

i'm taking this from saphherson so i'm not sure how accurate this is
the grenadier corps carried a white flag with a white cross on a red field in the top corner.
in the center was the order of the elephant with a golden wreath, above a gold crown witha red cap and linning within the order,a gold f4 cypher.
above, was a blue scroll bearing the motto avt mori avt vincere .the lettering was gold or black.

What figures are you using for Grenadierkorpset?

I am using Front Rank Dutch grenadiers.

I know they are not correct, what with them not having double rows of buttons etc, but they do the job for me. Plus they look nice.

The grenadier front plate is flat so there is no raised detail to paint, that's easier for my paint skills. Plate is blue as per the cuffs with a white edge as per cuff detail, other paint details as per C.S.GRANTS book and the Ascedia book on the GNW which has details on the Danish troops in maritime employ.

I figured as the Danes uniforms wore out their clients would replace them.
