Mine arrived today, together with the new book of Wienand Drenth (
http://britisharmylineages.blogspot.nl/ ... icers.html) so I had a great day after all!
First impressions: very good, based on Belaubre, the legacy of Dr de Wilde, own research of the authors, Tessin, and the input of Olaf van Nimwegen.
Some proof reading would be in order though, especially with the Dutch names and words (Stapelrecht is just a good Dutch word as it is in German, some typo's etc like Moock? Took me a while to find out it was Mook, famous for the battle against the Spanish in 1574. ).
Mats and I are still working on the artwork of the Northern Provinces flags and uniforms, (The weapon shield of Groningen has 11 pompebleden in it not 10 BTW) so I have to postpone my opinions on the articles on those regiments. It's a complete work, though the page editing could be a bit better as well.
(I hope to put up a real review on our blog real soon..)
