WSS Flags

Post by Brett1815 » Fri Oct 09, 2009 7:32 pm

Hello all

I'm looking for flags for 28mm WSS figures and I'mreally struggling! Apart from the limited flags available from warflag and flagdude there doesn't seem to much available. At the moment this is stopping me from starting the period, because painting flags is not my thing.

Any suggestions please guys?

Thanks

Could you mention the particular army you are looking for?

Mainly for the Imperial, Prussian and Danish units. I don't think I'll have a problem with the French and British.

Hi Brett 1815

You could have a word with John in our group. He produces all scales on cloth. I know he has a lot of Danish flags

Flags for the WSS

Post by Churchill » Sat Oct 10, 2009 7:33 pm

Hi Brett,

I think if you were just starting out you would have problems even with the British flags for the WSS as theres very little information still about from that period.
Lucky for you I've done most of the British Infantry Regiments and their Colonel's flags and most of the information were taken from Robert Hall's colour plates which I purchased from the Pike & Shot society. These may be slightly different from the flags on the Warflag websight, but thats your choice.
You can see my collection on the "Blenheim OOB" thread. If you start from page 4 and work your way forward to page 7 as these are the latest.
You'll find the Link Tim mentioned in the Contact Us part of the Like a Stone Wall website.
John's flag's are excellent and you can see some of them on the Derby World Championships Boyne Game thread.

Hope this helps...........Ray.

I have bought some Reiver danish flags and I'm happy both for the quality and the service. Rob is very kind and can assist for details and specific infrormation or help if needed. I reccomend it.

Ok thanks for the info. I've been looking at the Reiver flags for the Bavarians, so I'll see which Danish flags they do as well.

We're trying to add more flags to the ranges as we go but at the minute we're concentrating on the Jacobite Rebellion to add flags to a painting order for both armies at Culloden.

Once we've finished we'll be coming back to the LoA, GNW and WSS.
