Lindsay posted this link to a Help query in the Help Forum. I think it is extremely good and should reside here for ease of access

I very recently started a GNW project (Polemos rules, Baccus 6mm) and have started collecting GNW related links.

So, here are a few more of interest with GNW in mind:

http://www.wfgamers.org.uk/
http://www.petrobrigada.ru/peter/reg/reg_e.htm
http://www.neva.ru/EXPO96/book/book-cont.html
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/cmnash/war ... reltzi.htm

If anyone has some links to share on the subject, I'd be most interested, especially on the subject of the Russian army (my starter army of choice).

For example, I have not found any information on artillery yet, colour of limbers and such - anyone any idea?

Anyway, I hope people will find the above helpful.

Cheers,

Geert

Hi there,

I can recomend a series of books written in Swedish, they are called
"Stora Nordiska Kriget 1700 - 1721", i.e. Great Northern War 1700-1721. The series comprises of 3 books, where the first book covers the history, organisation and uniforms and flags for the swedes and their allies (A4 format, 160 pages), part II covers the Danes, Norwegians and Holstein-Gottorp (A4 format, 70 pages) the third book covers Russia, Saxony, Prussia and Hanover (A4 format 120 pages). The series is written by Lars-Eric Höglund and Åke Sallnäs. They have a homepage:

www.acedia.se

Even though they are written in Swedish there are a lot of pictures in color of uniforms and flags that can be used without any previous knowledge of Swedish. I can really recomd these. For a really good book about the battle of Poltava I can recomend Peter Englunds "Poltava" I think it has been translated in English. For ORBATS (alas in Swedish):

Swedish army:

Russian Army:

Hope it helps.
