The Government army at Sherrifmuir 1715. A spur of the moment project using part of a WSS army. All figures are Minifigs Marlburian Brits. Inn two bits because I haven't got a table big enough to take them all

You have to love Minifigs, I have 1,600 enamel-painted 25mm Napoleonics from 1973. They were my first metal purchase and I wouldn't part with them.

Jim, that's how I started as well, Minifigs and Hinchliffe. Like you I've still got them all though they've been through several transformations, expansions and contractions over the years. If they had kept their prices sensible, I'd probably still use them but at near enough equal in price to Front Rank, etc. not much point really.

For the lack of something better to do, thought I'd replace the pics seeing as how I re-located them some time ago. The army's been updated anyhow; too lazy to drag 'em out for a group photo so it's montages instead:

Thankfully I was able to keep with Minifigs for the additions.

Very nice, I like minifigs too, got loads of Napoleonics and some really nice TYW figures, you have done a lovely job with them.

Loved Hinchcliffe but must admit I was never keen on Minifigs, but well done on still having your collections...

I wish I still had some of my armies from first time around!

Thanks gents. I keep finding neglected Minifigs around the place so paint them up as a distraction. I like Hinchcliffe too, in fact I just got some from them some weeks back, radically different from the '70s and 80s style.

I'm off to Targe tomorrow (DVWP) after some odds and ends.
