Looking For A Couple of Austrian Flags

Post by Sir William » Sun Oct 30, 2011 5:38 pm

Have checked my Hall CD and Sapherson's book on the subject, and find I need a couple of Austrian flags from 1693. Hall has IR 10 Stadel, but I still need IR 11 Saxe-Neuberg and IR 19 Württemburg. I'm looking for both Colonel's and Battalion flags (or colours if you will) that will work for 1693.

Thank You;

Bill

Thank you for the link Sir! I have used the Xenophon Group before (former publishers of "Gorget & Sash" as the early Modern Warfare Society).

By comparing notes between this source and Hall's CD, I at least have the relevant arms of the Colonel's at the time of Marsaglia and should be able to "cobble together" a reasonable set of flags.

However, as these 3 regiments are a bit down in my painting queue, if anyone does find the actual standards in 1693 of IR-11 and IR-19, any info would be greatly appreciated.
