Jim, let me be the first to say that I think these are both imaginative and excellent pieces of work. Love the idea of the bunnets on Warfare minis, so much so I was going to try it myself as I by pure accident found a box of bunnets (Warlord, as you described).

Question: did you file the hats and hair down or cut them off across the forehead to affix bunnets?

thanks, and once again.. top work!

Just had a look at the larger images you sent me Jim. You have done a grand job with these to be sure.

Thanks for your kind words Barry.

Snipped off the hat brims, then cut off most of the crown. A bit of filing then to leave a bit of a 'dome' for the bonnet to be glued onto.

Just have to be careful you don't take to much off, very easy to lose some forehead!!!

I think the larger bunnets fit without any work, as you've shown, but the smaller versions definitely require some filing.

Just prove that I'm not totally extinct and that the army is expanding, albeit slowly… :?

Cannon's Irish regiment has also been rebased, now with 3 flags to match my other units.

It's not just Barry who's been working with a nautical flair of late...

Hopefully I can get an article written up and submitted for the blog on the making of this.

She's lovely, James.
Where did you get the fittings like anchors, chains and swivel guns?

Toby

Lovely stuff sir. I've a notion for Killiecrankie in 10mm so your Purcell's are an inspiration.
