Just curious about this image. The image comes from the NYPL collection. It is listed under the Dutch, but is obviously a picture of a soldier of the Danish Livgarde Til Fods (Dutch funded I presume). Yellow coat with red facings to include the "ladder" type lace running up the front of the coat. The curious thing is that it's single breasted and dated 1706. Is this a case of the wrong date or is it possible that some Danish units continued to wear the single breasted coat? I was going to post the image, but I didn't know if this would be a violation of any copyright laws.
