Hi all
Does anyone have the uniform or flag details of the Oleron regiment of foot that fought at Almanza in 1707. I have checked all the usual listings and all I can pick up is the establishment and disbandment dates.
Any assistance is much appreciated.

Thanks

1710 Roussillon
1711-12 Cette, Gerona, Dauphiné

Oléron's uniform and musicians' livery do not seem to have been recorded, which is not uncommon for a régiment de gentilhomme raised between 1689 and 1714. Grey/white coats can be taken for granted though.

Pierre Charrié gives the same flag for Oléron, also using Du Vivier as his source - "fond feuille morte avec sautoir ondé bleu"

Many thanks chaps.
I suspected the uniform facing etc would be difficult Arthur. But cheers anyway.
Advance warning - Almanza demo game on its way for Sheffield Tiples 2014

I found a few things more (of interest ?):

Antoine-Henri Le Veneur de Tillieres, chevalier de Malte en 1703, colonel du regiment d´infanterie d´Oléron, mort des blessures qu´il recut á la bataille d´Almanza en Espagne, le 25 avril 1707

the Family crest:
D’argent, à la bande d’azur chargée de trois sautoirs d’or

that could mean (for a regiment d´gentilhomme): blue facings and yellow Buttons

just an educated guess
