In case anyone has missed it, the yesterday channel is showing a series of programs on the history of Irish castles, its on at 9 pm on Thursdays,Next week covers the 1600's. The programs are made in Ireland, so its shown from the Irish side of history.
they have a catch up service for previous episodes, although I can't get it to work on my laptop.
