I would like to receive a copy of Under the Lilly Banners too. Is it still possible?

Barry,

I'll echo Simon's question of the 23rd . . . any idea of the approximate price of the new printed version?

Also, since I live in Canada . . . any idea how much to ship it to me?

Barry,

Furthermore, do you expect it to be available before year's end?

Or, in other words . . . Can we add it to our Christmas lists?

Yes Jeff, thank you for your very gentle prompt (very typically Canadian  - you people are always so polite AND direct at the same time  )

I was playing ULB at the weekend with Pat Connor and we found one or two areas related to cavalry melee which I thought needed a little tweaking. (Sorry Clarence  ). I have not given up on ULB the recent hiatus has been caused by my moving house and not having a spare £2 grand to get it printed and out. Yes absolutely before Christmas. Everyone I've talked to in the trade says it's more or less a finished product already. As for cover price, purely contingent on production costs. I would budget somewhere in the range £12-£15. As far as postage to Canada is concerned I am not sure yet but maybe I'll be able to get a distributor in North America and get them shipped over on bulk therefore making copies cheaper to obtain.

Hope this helps :D

Just kidding. There is a lot of flexibility in the layout at the moment. I'm still working on changing to page format from letter size to A4 so I'm doing some tweaking of my own.

Phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Pat Connor is just the kind of bloke you need to make informed and objective comments about rule mechanisms :D I don't think I've ever had a conversation with him about a ruleset that he HASN'T played!!!

He also whacked my French in the ULB game  He said beginners luck  I said - crap play by me
Piccies to follow in the gallery but the super aggressive Dutch and English Horse smashed my centre leaving the Maison du Roi to cover what could have been a very messy defeat

Vive le Pat!

Hello Barry

As above with my fellow Canadian, can't wait for the new rules. Also interested in seeing pictures of the recent battle you fought. For the Gallery will they fall under 'The Real Deal' or the 'League of Augsburg'.

cheers

Very interested in obtaining a copy of the rules. Am painting lots of 10mm WSS figures and still trying to find a good set of rules. What is the present timescale for publication?

Thanks

Yes, Barry, any idea on publication yet?

Or, at least any "not before x date" idea?

Guys I am REALLY sorry about this delay. It is purely financial
Moving to a new house chewed up enormous amounts of cash and postponed my plan for a midsummer launch.

However, the good news:

1. Extra clarification and amendments have been written as have new and I think very exciting rules on cavalry melee.
2. Funds are once more growing with the sale of my TYW,some WWII and Crimean collections.
3. I am sending to Clarence this weekend.. amended text.
4. I hope to take good pictures of the Neerwinden game at Partizan next weekend for inclusion in ULB.
5. I have completed and upgraded my French Army and hope to include 'Army shots' in the rules.
6. I have publishing lined up
7. I might even send ULB IV (the current circulated issue) to one of the mags for publication before ULB V hits the streets.

Recent games have given my final 'touches' a little spurt to completion.

So more news to come..
