I have finally launched into the LoA period with a French battalion:

Image

This is a battalion of the Orleans regiment, but as usual I designed the flags to be easily changed so this unit could represent lots of different units! The lighting on this photo isn't the greatest, but shortly there will be a new section on my site with more photos, detail shots, and a new series of articles detailing this project.

Thanks. I need to take better photos for ULB, but I should have three French battalions finished by the time we finish everything else and maybe a few squadrons of cavalry...

Still too lazy to add a new gallery to my site, so I thought I'd drop these here! :D

Clarence,

Your units look great (as always). You might want to do an "army building" series (like you did with the ECW). I enjoyed reading the reasons why you built it as you did. I'd like to know why you select the units you do pick.

Are those Dixon or Foundry figures? They are very nice. One day your going to have to show up at Historicon and run a game with your stuff.

They are Foundry figures. I have a unit of Dragoons (both mounted and on foot) that will be made of a mix of Foundry and Dixon figures, though I'm trying to paint a third Foundry infantry battalion before tackling them.

I would love to run a game at Historicon at some point, but I have a very fluid schedule that sometimes requires I work weekends - often without much notice. It makes it hard for me to commit to such things :(

Maybe one of these days...

Fatherhood is an remarkable thing. Also very busy but 110% worth it. :D

Barry, looking forward for ULB 5. I hope you have figured out a way for distribution to North America.

Now, "forward the Irish Brigade for the Stuart"

or

"God and King William"

Clarence,

Where and when will the article you promised going to appear? I want to read it and see some more pretty pictures of well-painted minis.
