Hi everyone,
I’m doing some of the Danish units at Blenheim and Ramillies and was wondering if anyone can help with the Danish “grenadier cap colours”.
Appreciate if anyone can help with plate colours and cap colours
Thanks in advance
Peter
There is some information in the booklet "Danish Uniforms 1699 - 1712" written by Torstein Snorrason. I think this is still widely available on the web but I am happy to send a copy if this helps. I also have some scans taken from an article in Feb 88 Military Modelling (Marlborough's Danish Troops) which includes several colour illustrations drawn / painted by Bob Marrion, including Grenadiers.
Just send a PM with your email address and I will gladly send the above.
also there are a few booklets on Danish army which might help

An original grenadier cap was actually found in excavations at an old palace. It is the cap shown at 0.07 seconds into this video is mentioned in an ebook I have (the aforemention one on the Danish uniforms from 1699 onwards). Its a cap of the Jyske Regiment I think, and is from around 1700. It has a Jutland lion on it.
