Hi all,

Altough a long time lurker and non poster I would like to ask you all a question regarding WW2 rules.

As of now I have tried following:
PBI2
FOW
Rapid Fire
IABSM
Battlefront ww2
BlitzkriegCommander

Any of the above have their up and downs.
Most of all I find it hard to find a ruleset that can cope with multiplayer battles without adjusting them. They all seem to have been written with 2 player battles in mind. Now dont get me wrong thats fine and makes good sense from a sales point of view, but we are still looking around.

So I was thinking of giving Battlegroup Panzer Grenadier a try.
Can anyone comment on these especially in a multi player setting?
Comments in general about these rules are of course also very much welcomed.

René

OK quick links to some opinions of the rules you mention

Written by the same chap who wrote the napoleonic rules general de brigade, only played the nap rules once so can't comment.

Also there is a post on the miniatures page but the site was down for maintenance when i checked it.

Hope this helps in some small way

Gentlemen,

I think Dave Brown's rules are excellent. We play them regularly in both 15mm and 20mm, and they keep both the died-in-the-wool WW2 enthuisiasts happy, as well as guys like me who dabble in the period as a break from other earlier ones.

Give 'em a try. My website has downloadable playsheets and scenarios on it.

Best,

I've used the Battlefront WWII rules in a few large multiplayer games and it worked really well

in fact it makes for interesting times when players try to keep an eye on all the moves that are taking place so as to do their snap fire against moving opponents

the only downside is you only get about 8 turns a day unless your players are very good and it really needs an umpire to take control.
