NEW INFO REQUIRED FOR MARCH GAME

Post by barr7430 » Tue Mar 03, 2009 11:51 pm

Chaps,

can I crave your indulgence just one more time.

Can you post the number of
20/28mm WW2 type buildings you have for me. They need to be suitable for a German city but can be ruined or whole.
If you have anything 'notable' and larger than the normal Hovels etc
such as :

FACTORY
OFFICIAL BUILDING: RATTHAUS/RAILWAY STATION etc

that would be very useful. I also need about 8 feet of straight railway track if we can get it but 4 will do.

thankss

Barry I can offer all my ww 2 terrain , if required, someone would have to pick it up though. Plenty of ruins

Barry, I have all the buildings we used in the last WW2 game which are from Colin Rumfords range and they definitely look French, do you want me bring these along?
I also have a ruined block of flats plus a town house which should pass as German so I can bring these along. Colin also has a number of buildings from the same Shellhole scenics range and between my rails and Colin's we should have enough for 8'.

Colin also has a great model of an official looking Rathaus and the Brandenburg Gate if needed.

Cheers

Dave these will all be great.. we'll use the French stuff for the sub-urban areas.

Martin getting your stuff would be great. I don't know if any of the Kirrie lads will be near if not I could take a drive by on my way up to Kirrie that Friday..

we'll see how people respond.

thanks for the offer :D

Dave, could you give me an exact count on your buildings and perhaps ask Colin if he can do the same. I seem to remember you both had a lot of urban stuff for your Weimar Republic type game at Partizan last year or the year before.

PETER NICHOLSON: Could you pls bring any buildings you have and would it be possible to use some of your Stalag Luft 17 huts for a Hospital complex (without the barbed wire of course... How many huts are there and how many other buildings would fit in?

Ta

DALE - you must have the whole of Stalingrad somewhere.....

I have just completed a quick tally...

Including

COLIN: RATTHAUS + BRANDENBURG GATE
DAVE: FLATS, TOWN HOUSE + 4 FRENCH HOUSES
PETER: 2 OF YOUR STALAG HUTS
ALL OF MY BUILDINGS

WE HAVE 24 buildings covered.

We need a further 51 if possible including ruins..

Could you chaps make an accurate count of what you have.. Martin, sorry to bother you with this but do you know off hand how many bits you actually have?

WALL sections will also count if you have them

ta :D

Off the top of my head 16 ruins, but cover an area of about 4 feet by 4 feet, when spread out plus roughly another 5-6 european buildings.

M

oh have stone wall dykes if they count ?

Barry, do you want to use the Abbey again?
Colin and myself also have two factories.
I'll try and dig out all my buildings and give you a list and I'll mention this to Colin at the club tonight.

Great Dave... with Martin's buildings we are now down to a requirement for roughly 31 although the Abbey will take up quite a space.

I'll give Dale a call but in our recent 28 mm games he's usually able to bring about 8-10 European style buildings to the table. He may have more - I'll post back here once i've spoken to him

I have about a dozen or so buildings from the guy at PMC games on Ebay but I would suspect that they are probably a bit too rural for a city scape. However, if we are struggling to meet your total I'll be happy to bring them a long

Ok just spoken to Dale - he says he doesn't have many WW2 style buildings - shock horror I know - he has the buildings already mentioned and 2/ 3 churches.
He does have the Hougoumont Chateau and surrounding buildings if you wanted a large mansion type building in the middle of the City.

Railway track? He probably has enough to run a train from Kirriemuir to East Kilbride so just let him know what you need. He can also supply a locomotive and rolling stock
