A Message from the Duke of Berwick

Post by barr7430 » Sun Mar 21, 2010 9:33 pm

The Marches are at last secured and patriotic Englishmen from Morpeth to Berwick can sleep soundly in their beds confident that the BUF and forces loyal to his Majesty have vanquished

Communist Banditi from Humberside
Corrupt, venal, bloated , flatulent and idolatrous clerical heirarchies from the morally bankrupt church alliances
Incompetent and bumbling amateur generals from the so called Scottish Republic now clearly a third rate provincial backwater of Europe slipping off the precipice into the abyss of Dark Age ignorance...

We, the people of Northern England pledge to uphold law and order and keep our shores free from foreign invaders (including those misdirected Fascists from National Socialist Germany!)

Take heed.. and tremble... The Duke of Berwick and Roderick Spode ARE THE LAW!!!

And as for THAT poll...

Spot on weekend Colin.. just what I needed to get away from the real stresses and strains. Thanks for that and for some champagne moments...

1. Andy's scrapyard of wreck planes, boats and sundries
2. Dale's belief in his ability to roll a 1 on a DAv and his persistence in trying to out-logic, logic.
3. Adrian's complete transparency.. we've seen ALL of your moves now pal!
4. Andy's attempt to assisinate his brother by sailing up the Tweed under the mouths of the guns of about 4 forces.
5. Bob's cavalry charge on the newly landed German Volunteers!
6.Dave O'Brien's Morris Dancers performing in the middle fo a firefight
7.Kevin GPO Calder's patience in reading all of those telephonic intercepts

Photos to you soon Colin.. I'll post some up here too!

What have you been drinking before writing this drivel?????????????
If it wasn't for St. Bob refusing to stab you in the back and take the town off you and your two Royalist Gimps holding us up you would have been lying the in market place at Berwick with the glorious forces of Christ marching over your puss ridden corps

As for the poll, I demand a recount!
I can't believe I didn't come top and I also can't believe that some people gave Adrian more than one point. I was looking to see how you could give negative points.

It was great to get back with the whole crowd again and get involved in lots of mindless violence and double dealing, or treble dealing in your case.

Looking forward to seeing the photographic evidence.
Cheers

I can show you good reason why you didn't top the trustworthinesss poll Dave. Kevin did try and warn me of your duplicity but I paid no heed, trusting my clerical brethren. Well, I am a man of faith.

Cracking weekend, inspirational table set-up, good banter, too much food and coffee, the first game I've ever played with Morris dancers, drunk Bishops and the GPO.

I finished the game under concerted attack from Adrian's Canadian commmunists, Andy's Scots, Kev & Peter's royalists and the Bishop of Carlisle. An unholy alliance if ever there was one. At least I knew which cause I was fighting for.

Highlight for me was my Bishop single handedly dispatching an entire unit of Kev's infantry in hand to hand combat. Low point was definitely losing all of my resource points from the end of day one. Colin , how could you.

My thanks to Colin ( and the backstabbing Bishop of Carlisle) for planning , organising and running such an enjoyable game. I'm up for a re-run of this.

Let me add my thanks to Colin for a really good, well organised and fun weekend. Thanks also to Peter (and Dawn) for looking after us all on Friday evening.
As for my Allies, well done Andrew for holding true and not so well done Dale, Mr.Average (dice), for picking a fight with our other ally Adrian (who was bigger than you even though he wore glasses) and clearly stole your map of the way to Berwick. By the way, nice bus Adrian, cant wait to see it on the news on the election campaign trail (if it can be fixed!).
Great to see you all. Thanks for a great weekend. Yours aye, Charles

Ah well, "St Bob" , never known for double dealing and back stabbing remained true to form (just as well for Barry) - loyal, courageous, hard bitten fighter, worthy foe of unwelcome intruders, do or die etc etc etc   (but I did think about turning on you Barry  )

Sorry Colin, sometimes I tend to shoot first and ask questions later so it must have been my normal predisposition of seeing men in scuttle helmets as the foe instead of as potential allies in the context of the game  But it was a very nice little cavalry charge, and successful up to a point :!: Thank their holinesses it was'nt against Andrew's tank.

Rosie said I was on cloud nine when I got home yesterday, and from my perspective -that was "blooming good medicine"

Thanks to Peter+Andrew for organising the venue, and Colin+Dave for organising the game - I shall never forget the high class entertainment provided by the ubiquitous squad of "Morris Dancers"

Dear Drunken Bishop... would that be Sour Grapes in your Chalice
I seem to remember that Berwick stood resolute against all sorts of snakeyness from Red Ade and Andy's Fishermen's Friends from Eyemouth as well as the Braunschweig Freiwilligen Corps, Alex Salmond's Father's Party Sub Committee and the Duke of Buccleuch's cucumber sandwich reception for Tommy Trout.

All this whilst you were sneaking the communion wine and arguing about your GPO bill with Kevin

No wonder the CoE is in such a state now....

Take a lesson from us real men in the BUF... Cold baths in the morning, dry toast, a goodly dose of syrup of figs and of course frequent exposure to improving literature.

Surely not "sour grapes" my dear fellow. I seem to recall that copious amounts of "Buckfast" were used to refill the "Communion Cup"

My Chalice was empty and all I wanted was some of the Bishop of Newcastle's communion wine then I noticed he was being attacked by those ungodly Fascist/Royalist Gimps. It was a simple mistake in an alchoholic haze that a few of my shots went astray whilst trying to help the Bishop and hurt a few of his troops. There are many cases of mistaken identity in warfare and this was one of those unfortunate cases.

Due to the unfortunate death of the corpulant cleric, his majesty the King has appologised for those troops that were falsely using the Kings name and has asked me to take over the Bishop of Newcastle's diocese as well as my own and henceforth will be known as the Archbishop of North England. My troops will be singing 'onward christian soldiers' as they wipe the fascist stain of Englands green and pleasant land. :D

It's that saintly attitude Bob that will get you welcomed back into the church and follow the righteous path to glory. You're too good a chap to follow those Fascist scum.

Oh Dear.. High Church Claptrap from the Low Church Bish.

Bishops David and Peter reminded me of that old series All Gas and Gaiters starring Derek Nimmo as the novice cleric... yes Dave and Peter were the two old farts...

A pox on you and your Fascist scum!

I will be in my palace of North Buckfast Abbey which is now under my control, sampling its delights and waiting for you crawling in on your knees begging for devine forgiveness to save your soul from your depravity.

Thanks Colin and Dave for organizing another great off the wall game which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The GPO rifles did sterling work against the unholy grand alliance of the 2 Bishops ( an alliance that was bound to fall apart eventually whether they took the bait of my bogus messages or not ) and the demise of the Bishop of Newcastle at the hands of my brave Posties outside the Abbey showed whose side God was truly on.
Congratulations Archbishop on your promotion to that office you will shortly be recieving an invoice for :
2 x Destroyed AMBULANCES
1 x GPO Delivery Van with dented roof.

That would be the two ambulances you were driving in front of your troops to act as shields and forcing my troops to fire on them?
I did try my best to put more than a dent in the van and I think I probably should have but forgot to add the -2 modifier for being hit by artillery  God obviously favoured you at that point but not when I put in my report of your actions to the Vienna Convention Committee :D
The same goes for that Scottish Tyrant Lord Kingarth, I have heard reports of him forcing unarmed prisoners to march in front of him as human shields then gunning them down once their use was over.

Praise the Lord!

The Communist Angling Club has finally arrived back home after its weekend 'fishing competition' North of The Border. What a welcoming sight the Peoples Republic of Grimsby was after a torrid and emotionally scaring weekend for 'little old me'.........

The double crossing duplicity, scandelous acts of 'unkept promises' by all of you (except Bob and Kevin....who did not attack me) may well have lasting effects on me!

I will remember who you all were at the next 'unusual game' and I won't be fooled again!!!!

To Colin and Dave, a big thanks like the rest of the Guys for an amazingly funny and enjoyable game.
