WARFARE MINIATURES 28mm LoA RANGE

Post by barr7430 » Thu Jul 07, 2011 11:48 am

We are finally getting close to releasing the first 9 packs of the new range:

WLOA1: Musketeer in hat firing line

WLOA2: Musketeer in hat at ease

WLOA3: Musketeer in hat marching

WLOA4: Musketeer in hat advancing

WLOA5: Pikemen in hat standing

WLOA6: Pikemen in hat marching

WLOA7: Command in hat standing

WLOA8: Command in hat advancing

WLOA9: Grenadier firing line

Each pack has 5 miniatures. All are in different poses. These are NOT head variants but unique sculpts which compliment each other. This means the first release has 45 different models. Pack price will be announced shortly.

The models are packed in 5s so that units can be formed for use with Beneath the Lily Banners. 25 models(5 packs) will provide 15 musketeers, 5 pikemen and 5 super numaries making up a wide variety of combinations of battalions Firing, At ease, Advancing and Marching in the 4 'stand' structure used by the rules. Pikes and officer weapons will be sold seperately.

PreOrdering date will be announced within a few days. Initial preorders will be through this site until the commissioning of the WARFARE MINIATURES site in late July. Pictures of all the codes will appear in the Shop section of the site over the next 24 hours.

We are currently gearing up to try and meet initial order demands so anyone who is thinking of ordering from us could send an email with approximate order quantities(no commitment and no money please!!!) to wordtwister@hotmail.co.uk.

Futue releases are well advanced in terms of planning and the range will form a fully complete spectrum of Foot, Horse, light and heavy artillery, casualties, supernumaries and personalities for the period.

I will be running a Beneath the Lily Banners 2 game at Claymore this year and my Walcourt game will appear again at Derby (I hopeif I can secure a table!). The game may also appear at CRISIS in Antwerp in November.

OK so pix of the 9 code packs can now be found in the GALLERY: WARFARE MINIATURES: WARFARE MINIATURES CATALOGUE.

As mentioned in the previous post, if anyone is thinking of ordering ping a mail to wordtwister@hotmail.co.uk with a rough idea of codes and quantities as we will be tight on time to get the first production volumes done and we want to make the right choices to tell the caster!

Thanks to those who have already mailed.. man, that was quick! :D

Not 100% sure but we think in the region of £6.50 per pack of 5. It will be governed by the metal price set by the caster. Alloy has rocketed in price recently and that is affecting everyone.. apparently.

Price will be set when we have the first production volume. The production moulds are currently being made.

We are obviously trying to tie things in to the Show calendar where I might be running a game. Putting WARFARE MINIATURES and BENEATH THE LILY BANNERS 2 together is the combination we hope to achieve.

I beg your pardon because this is not the place to put this reply but I am not able to see the "Williamite War" flags in your page.

On the other hand, Barry, have you plans for more models in the poses you have already planned (this is, a second pack of "musketeers in hat marching", etc.)?

Well Juan,

we have been very proactive with our planning and preparation. We are not thinking up things to do right now becasue we have already thought about them!
The 9 codes displayed will allow us to sink capital back into the range and bring the next wave to the market very quickly. We have already designed and completed:

2 mixed pose packs with extra grenadiers, marching, at ease, firing line, advancing, pikemen and command.
Casualties
Dismounted dragoons
Grenadiers storming
Artillerymen
Generals and officers
Cavalry with sword
Cavalry with pistols
Cavalry command
3 different types of guns (BLB Light / Field and Positional)
Carts
Limber
Teams

We hope to plug all the gaps found in other ranges making it one of the most complete of its type. All we need now are customers!!

Barry, I am one of those customers, of course!!!

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I am finishing the reading of the Rulebook (wonderful work) and making plans about the units I want to have so I would like to have access to a complet range of models like this one (Warfare Miniatures).

Next step is to find enough information about the period (here in Spain is difficult to find information about our own WSS :? and the NYW can be even harder).

Cheers,

Juan

PS: What a BIG Gun!!!

We should be able to take pre orders for quantities of the first 9 packs of the new range by week commencing 24th July. We should also be able to hand deliver pre paid UK orders to customers attending the CLAYMORE SHOW in EDINBURGH on August 6th. Priority will go to preorders made on the web.

Sorry Edward, there was a bit of static on the line after your post..

Cuirassiers...
possibly depending on how sales progress.
