For me the choice would be between a brief campaign and a single battle.
The campaign would be Turenne's final campaign in the Rhineland from 1673 til his death at Salzbach in 1675, campaigning against his old foe Montecuccoli. This would also feature the exploits or misadventures of young John Churchill and the English Brigade.
For a single battle? Marsaglia in 1693. I have recently been doing a great deal of research on this battle (with much help from friends) and have now worked my way through most of the mis-spellings, wrong regimental names, and other assorted variances in the published OB's. I have also identified the uniforms and flags of the majority of participants (except for the flags of the Spanish Tercios, which refuse to give in). But, you have French, Germans in French service, Walloons in French service and Irish in French service; all facing off against Savoyards, Spanish, Swiss in Spanish service, Italians, Austrians, Bavarians, Brandenburgers, and Huguenots in British pay. Very colorful and you have to love a battle that was "saved" by the Irish and featured (reportedly) the first documented, formed bayonet charge.
Fun stuff!
