Thank you, guys! I am still trying to stick to painting my flags, though I may break down at some point and get some commercial ones...

No critique (constructive, please) or comments? I wonder if the blue is correct for the Alsace reg't...

Yet another French Cavalry Reg't - de Talmont this time - I am especially happy with how the flag came out...

Season's Greetings, Doug!

I have come late to this thread - a wonderful set of units, well painted. I like your material flags - the cavalry standards are getting better with each unit. Inspiring stuff - please keep it up.

Cheers, Rohan.

Thank you Rohan! I am enjoying painting them and especially participating in this excellent site - so may excellent contributors!

I will probably do one more French cavalry Reg't and then move on to the Dutch for a little while for a break... I need to redo some English flags as well. Eventually, I plan to have 16 -18 French infantry battalions plus 10 -12 cavalry reg'ts and 2 dragoon reg'ts plus artillery. The allies will have approximately the same numbers (English, Prussians, Dutch, maybe Danish or Imperials - have the Prussians and some of the English so far)... 2-3 years to go!

Well done Doug - some very nice units here. I particularly like the flags and the drummers. Fantastic work on the chain lace for the drummers. I'm painting similar units up and have simplified this to a basic red and blue paint scheme. You have really gone to town, picking out the lace to great effect.

Great stuff.

Thank you Phil and Ray! I like to figure out "easy" ways to recreate some of the complicated designs - something that looks right, and that I can work out a system for, but may not exactly replicate the real design. I have the musicians lace worked out for the French... I was scared off of the Musketeer's standard though.

I need to revisit the allies and work out some details - especially the flags - often using your images as the model, Ray. I am currently working on some of the great LOA wagons.

Hi Doug,

Just let me know which Allied regiments your doing and I'll send you the uniform and flag info.
I am currently working on the five Hanoverian regiments of St.Pol's brigade with one finished and four to go.

Best Wishes,

Ray.
