Conflict between the Swedes and their various neighbours between 1670s and 1721. Including topics on Danes, Saxons, Saxon-Polish, Russians and anyone else the boys in blue were mixing it with!

is there an alternative spelling of the regt name eg Gyllenstiernas? as in Hoglund's Scanian War there is a colour illustration and description of the standard

There has been several Gyllenstierna reigments through the ages as it's a noble family.
This particular regiment was created before the invasion of Russia in 1707.

The Gyldenstyjerna coat of arms is a yellow seven pointed star on blue field, so my suggestion is to use this design for the company color and for the colonel color the king coat of arms , on one side and the seven pointed star on the other side all on a white field. According to the illustration on Dan Shorr book on the Swedish flags, the company color may also have a blue field and a design (seven pointed star) on the upper left part of the two tailed flag.

had a look in CA Sapherson's booklet on Swedish army 1688-1721 states the dragoons wore blue coats lined in lighter blue.Waistcoats and breeches were deep blue, wore red cravats and pale yellow lace loops on buttonholes of coats
