Title : Sergeant Murrays boys

Sergeant Murray's heavy machine gun platoon fought the entire battle mounted in their vehicles. They sprung a trap on advancing enemy infantry killing all of them. They then zipped through the German line and wiped out an entire platoon of 88s before turning their guns on the enemy mortars and light flak. Another lightning manoeuvre saw them wipe out the enemy's central command post killing both the Commander and his 2iC whilst destroying a further two mortars and two command vehicles. They accounted for nearly 50% of all German casualties and more than half of the destroyed equipment. The platoon suffered no casualties but one vehicle is missing from the shot above - it had mechanical problems and dropped out of the attack. The sergeant was awarded the MC for his actions. His comment after the battle was "Christ, I need a beer" A very religious man is Sergeant Murray.
