Two Recce patrols dash at speed toward the enemy positions. Primary mission to draw fire and disrupt enemy offensive manoeuvres, secondary mission to get through! and start harassing enemy support units in the rearward areas. These ran into a platoon of stuGs and three were lost. They did however get through and annoyed the enemy Kampfgruppe HQ until reinforcements arrived to finish the job.
