This is the fortification that the French desired to take. It was apparently finished in less than 2 days and was effectively a large earth parapet only closed in laterly by wood from the destoryed village of Semenovskoye. The pallisade wall at the back was not a strong defensive obstacle. Inside we placed 10 gun models representing the 20 or so which actually garrisoned the redoubt during the battle. It was to prove a hard nut to crack.
